Due to border patrol regulations, all Canadian patrons must show their library card to cross into the United States to enter the library.
If you happen to forget or have misplaced your library card, there is no need to worry! We have conveniently opened a clearly marked door on the Canadian side for your access.
Tourists entering from the Canadian side are welcome to enter the building by utilizing the Canadian entrance.

Accessibility
- The Haskell is committed to providing access to all visitors. Our facilities are equipped with ramps and elevators to assist those with mobility challenges. If you require any special assistance during your visit, please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff.
- Passports and visas are not necessary to enter the Haskell Free Library & Opera House. However, please be aware that both the US Border Patrol and the RCMP have the right to ask to see personal identification and detain anyone who is not of legal status. We do encourage you to bring your papers with you, just in case.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
RULES:
- The fee for a guided tour is $10 per adult and free for children under 12 years of age.
- The duration of the tour is approximately 30-45 minutes.
- Tours may be unavailable on the day of a performance.
- We require reservations for large tour groups (more than 10 people).
- We recommend making a reservation to ensure tour availability.
RULES:
- For safety reasons, all visitors to the Opera House must be accompanied by a member of staff.
- Large bags and backpacks are not permitted. Please leave them at the front desk or outside the library.
- If for any reason, you can’t make it to your tour, please contact us to let us know.
- Tours are not meant for family reunions or any other cross-border meeting.
- The guide reserves the right to remove any participant from the tour at any time without a refund if they are causing disruptions, straying, or behaving disrespectfully.
