Communications and events manager
The Haskell Free Library & Opera House is seeking a full time Communications and Events Manager.

- Creating marketing and advertising materials through a variety of means, including press releases, websites and brochures, among other promotional items.
- Developing written content to support business objectives and initiatives.
- Building and maintaining solid partnerships to better develop, coordinate, direct and facilitate strategic communications.
- Social media coordination
- Media relations
- Creating, and overseeing events and programs
- Meetings with community partners for event planning
- Support of Opera House activities
- Relations with the public
- Routine library services as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College or university degree in a relevant field (communications, tourism, project management, theater, history, art history, etc.)
- Project management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Bilingual English/French (written and spoken)
- Good writing skills
- Experience in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Willingness to work in a small community
