Adopt-an-Author
Do you have a favourite author? Do you want to be the first to read their newest book? Sign up for Adopt-an-Author!
By donating funds to the Haskell library to purchase each new release from your favorite author, you guarantee that you will be the first to read the books, and you guarantee that the library will add the book to its collection. The library purchases books at a reduced rate so you would be paying less than if you bought the book in a bookstore, and your donation would be recognized with a bookplate on the item.
Another advantage to participating in this program is that the library might receive materials in different categories than the usual fiction and non fiction. So your fellow Haskell patrons will get an even better selection!
This can be applied to books of all genres and ages, but also to magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, or any other materials the library typically stocks.
